Africa pics
« on: May 11, 2011, 12:43:58 PM »
Hey guys here are some pics from Africa.  Most are my pics but some are from an outfitter friend who I have gotten to know over the years.  I have sent him over a dozen guys to hunt with him and they have all been happy.  If you ever are interested in going let me know and I can hook you up.  I can get you good prices and he does a lot of extras for you.  I had one group of guys hunt Botswana and South Africa and move camp to be able to hunt different areas and species and did not even charge them for that.  Baboons were free and I believe Caracal cats were as well which is usually a $1000 hit.

Hope you enjoy the pics!

I have my 375 barrel on the way and I have my hunt dates booked for August 14th of 2012 for Buffalo, leopard and plainsgame.  Got my fingers crossed for the leopard as they aer hard to hunt.  Got a %85 chance with the guys I am hunting with  as they are known to be the best in the Save area in Zim.  It will be with Zambezihunters and Thierry Labat as my PH for 15 days of hunting.  Deer Hunter on the forum here is going with me as well as one of my business partners.  I truly can not wait.
Glad you liked the pics guys

Wow, cool pics, Nube.  I have to admit, I don't even know all the names of those African critters.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

No problem Daryl.  I think you will really enjoy hunting with Chris and his areas.  They are good sized and he killes some great trophies.  Was actually at the taxidermy shop the other day working on a couple kudu and warthogs and getting them ready to mount.  I'll see if I can get some pics of them when they are done if I remember before they get sent out.

It all depends on the species you want to kill is what will determine the cost.  I shot 12 critters the last time I went and probably did the whole trip for $14K with flights and I think that may have included to shipping but to tell you the truth I don't remember.   This next trip i am going on I think you might choke if I told you what it will cost for  a Leopard , buffalo and all of the plainsgame I have that I want!!  OUCH!!!!
The outfitter who I have sent a bunch of guys over is real good at giving discounts and taking care of guys real well.  He does a lot of the extras for you that normally would cost you more.  Some critters he will even let you shoot for free as well which is a bonus.  Yes you could find a cheaper outfitter but your trophies may not be as good of quality or you also may only be hunting 5000 Arce parcels of land which is like shooting fish in a barrel.  He also can hunt you in Botswana on no fenced areas and then drive a couple hours into SA to hunt other species and to see a new camp and a new area.  Botswana is worth it big time and for the extra costs which is not much it is really the best bang for your $$$  I think

It ain't bad at all guys for the price.   You can do it for way less than $10K if you shoot the right critters and a bunch of them at that.

I am going to be 3 hours North of Jo'Burg.  I have a somewhat limited budget but I want a Gemsbok, Zebra and Warthog.  After that I will play it by ear and go with the flow.  I am taking 5k for trophy fees.  When that runs out I am sitting in the pool and relaxing.  A Kudu would be real nice as well as an Impala.  I'll also be on the lookout for Bushbuck and Black Wildebeast.

The PH seems to be extremely genuine.  He really gives me the impression that he is serious about making this MY SAFARI!  Not a run of the mill get them in and kick them out kinda guy.  He runs the outfit with his wife and they will be there with me the whole time.
