Alberta Advantage Bear Camp 2013
« on: April 30, 2013, 05:55:18 PM »
With our first group of the year en route from down south (Strathmore) I thought it a good time to start a thread to start adding pictures & updates from our camp this Spring.

We have a full roster of hunters again this year and are expecting another stellar season. Last year we ran around 95% tag out with a few cranker bears in the mix too.

All our baits are out, and it was a heck of a chore this year! Travel in the bush was only possible via Argo and even it struggled. Tonight (April 30) we are still unable to go anywhere in the bush via quad but expect that to improve by the weekend. So far we have fairly slow activity on all the baits but enough to be optimistic about our first group of hunters. Tomorrow we will be checking about 20 baits and hope to have the first bruin of 2013 on the ground by dark.

Stay tuned for updates and pictures :)

Craig kicked it off last night with his first bear at about 8:25 last night. The conditions have been tough the last couple days but with temperatures climbing we are starting to see some much better activity.

Way to go Craig!

Thief, Poacher, Criminal and Liar.

Many American and Canadian forums learned the hard way that this guy will use their site to take advantage of people.
And now this guy has found himself generally welcomed to this forum.

Very disappointing.

What the H are you thinking Paul?

You know reading the stuff some ppl post makes me laugh on may 1,2,3,4 a buddy and I went to alberta advantage for a guided bear hunt and considering that the weather wasn't in our favor I must say I had the best time in a long time Chris and his family treated my buddy Craig and i like gods I couldn't believe how much fun Chris and his family went beyond what I expected. So somone posted earlier that Chris is a liar poacher and a thief ha that made me laugh Chris was prob the most professional guy I have met in years I gave Chris from alberta advantage two thumbs up on the professional basis and I'm not jokin his wife made us meal fit for a king thank you to Chris and hi amazing family I'm proud to now call Chris a friend and if anyone wants to ask questions about the hunt pls email me at davyjoey@hotmail.com

Thanks for the kind words Joe! You guys were a blast to have in camp. All these people with mud to sling have no actual knowledge or experience with us, just a bunch of low brow bandwagon jumpers trying to fit in with the "cool kids" lol. Probably the same kinda weenies we used to give swirrlies and stuff into lockers lol.

Although Ive always ignored them & taken the high road, I feel the need to say the following: Has anyone else noticed that all the guys who have actually been to our camp & dealt with us make posts similar to Joes?  Interesting that none of the nay sayers have ever had anything to do with us.

That "other forum" is sure getting quick at deleting any and all posts from guys that have been here and staunchly defending and keeping the posts from the guys with a bunch of made up bs to throw around.

Kudos to the admin here for being realistic and not buying into it.

Ron nailed this great bear less than 3 minutes into his hunt. This is his first harvest ever, he was one very excited new hunter.
Congrats Ron!

Very nice bear!! I have no idea of what the supposed past history is with some other members, but I for 1 am enjoying the pics both recent and past.  I would suggest if people have a problem with a poster to take up with a Mod or keep it to Pm's. no need derailing a decent thread.
I'm from the country , and I like it that way!!!

Leah got here last night and drilled this awesome 7'1" black boar less than 2 hours into her hunt. Outstanding Leah!
