Wow it feels good t be back . Ive had a very busy summer . But am back . Anyway going hunting this weekend ? Myself am headed out West , gonna go get me an Elk . Just bought a new Savage .308 and goter all sighted in to 150 yards grouping to where I can put my finger threw the grouping . Anyway Just wanted to wish everyone a good season , will try to pop in threw out the next 3 months .

I am to . Gonna put that Big game hoist of mine to work , its been tested for over a 1000 lbs so I hope she hold LOL . If it does it will be the cats ass for skinning and gutting Game .

I think I will head out for an elk this weekend.

I am going to an area where there are elk, but not that many, no one really hunts them specifically there. We are hunting private land mostly. I hunt out west for deer in November, lot's of road warriors, I find if a guy get's away from the roads a bit there is no shortage of bucks, just have to walk a bit and have some patience.

yeah good luck big guy... you seem very confidant about getting your elk... must have a trick or two up your sleeve... cant wait to see the pics!!!

Moose opens up on the 24th so we;ll be setting up camp on the 21 or 22.

Gonna head out to the foothills to chase the elk with the old stick and string.  Should be good now that many of the other hunters will be headed to the mountains for the general season opener.  Found a small herd on Tuesday that had a decent 5X5 in there.  Any legal animal will get it from me though  .  Not quite as picky as Darkwing!  LOL

I'll be in a 6 point zone but yes I'll be picky on "where" I'll pull the trigger. I use to hunt with a guy that shot elk in some tuff spots. 3 days to hump out someone else's elk wasn't my Idea of fun.
