Going to Africa on August 15 for me.  13 days of bowhunting Kudu, Gemsbok, Eland, Blue Wildebeest, Red Hartebeest, Duiker and Warthog....and anything else that may walk by.  LOL  Should be a blast.  Most of my Alberta hunting will be chief guide for my kids and a couple other young people I know that do not have someone to take them hunting.  Should be a great year!!

Sounds like a good year Weste. Good on you for getting the young ones out that don't have anyone else.   I will be chasing moose, deer in the bow zone and elk up by Edson.  Dad is back in Alberta this year so will be good to get out with him again.

Going to work hard to try and get the girlfriend her first elk and she really wants to get an animal that qualifies for P&Y. As far as myself I wouldn't turn down a 150+ WT or a 45+ bull moose with good fronts but that is about all. I will work hard for one of us to get a cow elk to ensure we eat good again this winter.

Looking forward to the season.

It doesn't take much to talk me into going hunting, I hate to see a lost opportunity to help out kids that may not have a chance to get out and hunt otherwise.  Helped the 13 year old son of a single mother that works for me for get his first deer with a bow last year.   These are pics of my 10 year old son and the 13 year old.  Some of the most fun I ever had hunting was with these guys harvesting their first animals.  I was extremely proud of them when they got their first awards at the SABA banquet.

Great stuff.  My little man is 3 and he is my favorite fishing and camping partner.  He will be out to help me with scouting and such this year any time out in the field with my bow is a great time.  Have a great season!!

Probly just do some on our land for early deer maybe even moose, been seeing a few moose tracks in the back of my land this summer so you never know.
