Double Header
« on: October 27, 2014, 08:48:00 AM »
Went out hunting yesterday with my friend, it was a pretty slow morning  for the most part. We spotted some elk moving mid day and got setup but they didn't come our way. We were set up in tree stands about 100 yards apart; he was lower in the trees and I was higher up. This cow/calf pair ended up coming our way and I put a good shot on the cow and they ran off towards him. He saw them coming and saw a solid hit on the cow so he decided to take the calf. They died about 40 yards apart and about 30 seconds apart. It wasn't an overly hard extraction as you can see haha
Looking for the big bull!!!

Fine work!!  Meat should be excellent, and provide "treats" for the families.
