First Bear

Got my first bear this spring came in at 370lbs and 19 1/8 skull, happy as could be even has white blazes on the chest!

Wow super trophy,great way to start your bear hunting. Definitely an old warrior,will make a fantastic rug. Did you use a gun or bow ?What caliber and general area of Alberta did you get him ? I shot one years ago north  of Lesser Slave Lake.

Heck of a bear,, love the old war wounds on him gives him lots of charector,, good kill.

Will actually be doing a 1/2 or full body mount on this guy, was using a 270, I actually was wanting a med bear with nice fur to make a rug for my daughter but couldn't pass this guy when he walked in. I got him about 1 hr south of High Level by Le Crete.  When we skinned him out the head had a lot of scar tissue on it, looked like he had been almost scalped at one point. Also puncture wounds in his chest that had scared over from another bear biting him. Was a real fighter this one. I can just imaging the battles he was involved in!
