Got A Guide In The Family
« on: September 23, 2016, 02:37:01 AM »
So my oldest boy is fulfilling a life long dream of his this fall by becoming a big game guide. He took up an offer that was presented to him. We don't know the outfitter but Jesse got word through the grapevine this fellow was looking for a guide for a week long moose hunt he had. Jesse got in contact with him and well, he's giving it a shot for 10 days. I hope he likes it, I hope he gets a good client for his first week, I know Jesse will give his heart and soul into the hunt cause that's just the way he is it will be personnel for him. The money isn't the best for a first year guide but his work isn't overly busy so his boss didn't mind giving him the time off, I guess it's one less guy to have to keep busy for a spell. Jesse is only 26 but he's been with me every fall since he was 14 he is no dummy on the hunt, one of the best, no the best partner I have ever had.

Best of luck to you my boy,, show em how it's done son.

It's always nice to hear of people rolling the dice and going after a dream.  Best of luck to him on his adventure.

Great!!!!!  I hope that he puts the knowledge that he gained from his uncles Richard & Les to good use.ha ha ha  Following in his grandfather's footsteps.  Knowing the young man, he should be one hell of a guide, well schooled in hunting principles & ethics from home.

Lol,, thx Rick. Yah Jesse was pretty pumped I hope it goes good for him. My biggest fear is the outfit rips him off some how. If that happens we may have to go pay them a visit is all, no issues there.
