Hey Guys, Just thought id let you all know I shot my first ever bear, was in Manitoba but never mind!! Was an awesome hunt, a good friend of mine had been baiting a station for a few weeks, knowing i was flying in from England, so we had some trail cams set up and knew it was being hit hard, so it was just a matter or waiting it the tree stands the the action to happen! the first day we sat for i guess 7 hours and not a sign of a single bear so we came back the second day and waited again, 6 hours this time, the sun was setting and the temp was dropping, we had about 45 min left of shooting time and we were both getting cold but we decided to sit it out! about 5 min later we heard a stick snap and we both just looked at each other, knowing exactly what was coming!!
So we watch and wait and in strolls this huge black Sow, and I mean huge!! she looks straight at the tree stands like she was looking me in the eye, she turned sideways and took a step towards the beat, BOOM!! lovely side ways quartering shot through both lungs!!
