It caught me by surprise this year. I think I am just 999 everything this year, youngest boy is up for his moose draw this year. Going to be together with all the boys this weekend we will decide what we are doing but I'm positive I'll just 999 it all, maybe  southern Mule hunt we'll see.

Thinking about doing camp wainwright this year for the first time, other than that probably keep building points.  Starting to get quite a few high point draws so will have to start pulling them next few years or so.

I will be putting in for the same Moose area my son had his draw in last year. If I'm lucky, my 5 points will get me a chance to beat the boys bull :)

 999 all the rest.

Biggest bone of contention for me in the next few draws is going to be what to do with elk.  I hear mixed reports out west, some say it's shit some say it's starting to get a lot better.   Suffield doesn't seem all that appealing talking to guys that have done it, elk are there but definetly a different kind of "hunt".  I don't have time to scout the outliers that may reside southwest.

Seems to me a guy has just a good of shot at a better than average bull on a general tag, just gotta know where to go and I'd rather spend my time on zones that I can pull a tag over the counter and involve my son in in the next couple years when he is of age.

Put in for the boys moose and triple nined the rest. I put in for my Antlered Mule in 118, triple nined the rest, all done for this year.

If all goes as planned this year we should have 2 moose tags in moose camp this year. Sam should get his with his priority as well I am taking a friend of mine along this year. This will be his firs time moose hunting ever. Jeff is in his mid 50's and was raised in the US and did some deer hunting down there as a youth but just recently I have gotten him back into hunting. He has spent the past 3 years deer hunting with me a few days a year and is getting the hang of it quite well. Jeff was raised by his mother his father passed away when he was quite young so any hunting he did when he was younger with his uncles was eastern US style deer camps bush pushing type stuff. The whole deer rattling and walking was all new to him and he has never done anything like a moose camp hunt. I'm really looking forward to taking him and having him experience it all, it's going to be quite the experience for him.

Just about forgot about the wife's draws this year, put all hers in as well, 999 all around for her. We are running up her priority for moose close to home couple more years hopefully we get a chance to fill a tag in her name.
