What is your shortest ever kill?

Whitetail deer......... 5 paces.... stick and string
Black bear..............17 paces....stick and string
Moose....................30 paces....stick and string
Moose....................25 paces....30-06
Elk.........................40 paces....30-06
Deer......................15 paces....30-06
Black bear...............60 paces...30-06

Yes sir..I like getting in close so I can smell them..  ;D

Nearest for me was 1 yard, but I let him walk. Spot and stalk.

I like this one too.

Again not exactly sure but I would have to guess maybe 50 yards on a moose and maybe 30 yards on a deer give or take. A bear mmm 15 feet right off the front step of the house while it had its head in my dogs bowl. 300 RUM behind the ear lol.

i was up at Tatoolee Lake in northern Manitoba, the plane was delayed due to snow so I was invited to a caribou hunt. Tribesmen pushed the 'Boo throgh a snow gate, and as they passed we stabbed them with a spear.

But otherwise, all my bowshots were under 20 yards and as close as 7 yards. I did shoot a buck directly under my treestand about 3 yards.

Close? Hmm.

The most difficult part of the hunt is trying to get the head and horns out of that square hole in the old wooden granary. ;)
