Good luck on your hunt Darcy. Hope that new pack works out for you. When you going to be back home? I should be back in Canada around the first of the month (no opening day sheep for me). Dwayne wants me to go guide an elk hunt for him the end of September, so will probably chase some sheep around while I am up there. We'll have to go check a couple of those little holes when you're around for a couple days.

I think I will take the next 3 monthes off for hunting, so my schedule is pretty open for any trips
I will be ready to go any time.
As for slinging arrows, my bow is pretty much like my rifles, the first time I pick them up I will have to blow the dust off them with the compressor, haven't touched anything this year except coyote and gopher guns. Guess I better knock a target for a day before I stick that 400" bull

Looks like ya got a good handle on it, must have forgot to include the First-Aid Kit and maybe some Advil.
Back 20 yrs ago when I used to hunt like that, I learned by accident, (literally), when a fellow guide had a run in with a knife. Never without at least a basic kit now!

yep your right Labman a first aid kit is a must. I have a bag with basic survival stuff such as matches, fire starter, first aid kit and other stuff that I carry always when hunting, and yes it is packed. Again just missed it on my list.
And im gunna try and get tons of pics Springer and if all works out as planned ill have a couple of the kills on video.

I spent a quite a few years working thru hunting season, finally figured out life is too short for that. Now I try not to work in the fall if I can get away with it. I actually envy your career, home every night and can have a life. I may make good money when working, but it's not overly glamorous and usually not the greatest places to be (although there is a Cabelas about 10 mins from where i am working in west virginia so I guess it's not all bad
