This is my first year hunting Whitetail. I have been mostly a predator and bird hunter. I live in Chestermere Ab and would like to know if someone can recommend a close area (Strathmore, Carseland etc) to seek whitetail. I would obviously seek permission and respect the landowners wishes, but I am looking for a starting point , area to get going.

WT are pretty much everywhere in the province there's food and cover.  I'd suggest just pick a wmu, get yourself a county map and put some miles on spotting likely area's, track down and talk to the landowner.  You'll find places to hunt.  Just have to put in the effort.
