That’s great sounds like he is working out for you.     My dogs are from No Mars kennels and I have and English pointer coming this spring from soupier pointers out of the eastern US.
How old is your son?

I do remember being 12 hunting with my dad and 3 GSPs.  My boy is only 3 but I am looking forward to hunting with him when he is old enough.

The greatest trophy is the smile on your grandson's face when he shoots his first game animal. Or  any of your kids.
If you are too busy to hunt , you are too busy.

I've never had the opportunity to hunt over dogs so I'm useless for info there but have seen lots of birds around this year. Only have partridge on our place (northeast of the city) but birds are looking great across the south. I'm not sure if this site has a messaging system but if you need a spot or two to check out let me know. I used to hunt waterfowl a fair bit but have not had a chance in a couple seasons due to work.
