No Chancy Mister Whelan: No way.
My dumbass neighbor on the adjacent quarter tried raising those pieces of garbage. That neighbor has now assumed ground temperature. Thank God.
Well, these wild pigs dug themselves out from under their cheap two bit pen and proceeded to migrate to a piece of bush on my main quarter section.
Among those wild pigs was a damn sow who decided to have her piglets in my bush. If you folks know how a domestic sow will kill you to defend her piglets you should see what a Wild Sow will do. I was fuming mad at this incident and that useless neighbor told me shoot everyone I could find. A few phone calls to the local talent and the problem was solved. The big boar reluctantly came down with a 225grain .338 Win that was shot into the Cartilaginous section posterior to the head. The Sow took multiple hits at once.
On the positive side, wild boar requires special preparation. If you can find a butcher from central or eastern Europe who is willing to prepare it, try hunting them. But not on my land.
P.S. I think they would be horrible in making big game sausage.
