Go to 40 yards, draw back and set your 30 yrd pin about 6 inches above the bullseye, then look to see where your 40 yard pin is and where you have to move it so it is on the bulls eye. Depending on your bow you will be +/- an inch or so at 40 yards
Looking for the big bull!!!

That's a good grouping at 50 yards but how are you at 10-15-20 yards?

Just asking. ;)

I find a 20 yard pin is an absolute for me.  Anything under that hits dead on in to about 6 yards or so.  I perfer to run less pins and gap shoot less room for error or using the wrong pin.

Ditto on the 20 yd pin.

I had 20,30 and 40 yard pins.I didn't feel that I was good enough at 50 yds so I only ran 3 pins
And between a 17 yard bear shot (on the ground)and shooting deer from a treestand the 20 yard pin was the one I used most.

Last year I tried the first pin at 30 (after 17 years of bowhunting with the first pin being a 20) and found that it made me think a little more than I wanted to.  I shot 2 animals at 15 yards (a doe and a bull elk) and hit both higher than I would have preferred.  Both died very quickly and were recovered within 80 yards of the shot but I would have preferred to hit exactly where I was aiming.  This year I will be going back to the 20/30/40/50/60 setup that has been very successful for me over the years.

Im going to be doing alot of spot n stalk cuz i have no where to but up a stand...thats the reasoning for the 30/40/50..if i had acces to some private land where i could put up a stand or blind then a 20 pin would be sighted in but till then i will have compensate if the occasion arises..lol.good luck this hunting season guys!
