Well my buddy in hinton was out sitting in his truck last night listening for elk and he says they were going mad... looks like those of us going out sept 1st will have missed the hard rut... for that area anyway.... dammit i was really hoping to get in on that but im gonna be a couple days to late

Just got a text from some buddies up Edson way apparently the Bull's are roaring!! Which is a great sign for me but I am having trouble gettting any work done come on Friday!!

they only seem to go hard for a couple days... they have been bugling for a week now... come saturday they might be quiet as ghosts again

im in the same boat.... cant get out til fri night

Ya that may happen. Either way I can't wait to get out in the bush. First time going it alone with no one else in camp can't wait.

My scout down south says bulls are starting to gather cows but has heard no bugling yet. Saturday can't come soon enough, we'll be down there Fri. morning to get camp set up and then take a tour to see what we can see.
