Tips for after dark coyotes on my land
« on: November 21, 2019, 06:15:39 PM »
Hello, I am new here-I have lived on my property for 5 years, first time I have a good sized pack come here nightly. ( neighbors with large dogs etc moved away....)used to be the odd one I have chased off. Now they show up regularly  just as legal light is gone. they come as close 100 yards to my house, I've patterned their trails and tracks. some good spots to use as a blind.   I have pets that are likely to become dinner of this keeps up. and no,  I can't have dogs or guard animals. I would like to bag  my first coyote as well. any tips on how I can entice them to arrive sooner, during shooting hours? I am an experienced deer and small game hunter. should I invest in electronic calls? bait? any advice would be awesome!

No expert here, but coyotes are real suckers for those rabbit distress calls.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

Frozen meat in a bucket mixed with water then poor out the meat cube.  Set up in a good location for shooting preferably from the front porch.

Finding a local trapper would clean them out fast. If no domestic dogs are around.
