Tons of birds out there
« on: October 02, 2011, 12:18:41 PM »
There are sure a pile of birds this year guys.  I hope you all are enjoying the time out.  Since the start of the season we have only had a couple days without a full limit of ducks.  Most hunts are with 6-8 guys as well so that shows the number of ducks this year.  It seems like we should be looking at good hunting still for another couple years if the water levels stay up.  I'll post a few pics after the season but I sure hope you guys are taking advantage of the hunting this year for birds.  It really is outstanding.  I can't imagine what the bird numbers are like in central Alberta in the main flyway.  WOW!!!

There is a ton of birds out there this year. Was out by Byemoor a couple weeks ago  and couldn't believe the birds. Wouldn't need to spend much time looking for a shoot

I'm off for ducks in about 1/2 hour! Was out last weekend and we had a great time. I was especially impressed with the table quality for this time of year. I don't know if I have ever had better tasting mallards!

Yes a lot of the birds are starting to come down.  Still don't have a pile yet but the mallards are big and have some color on them.  Just had 3 days limits back to back with a group of 12 and another with a group of 9.  Very few days without a duck limit.  Tons of them out there!
