Blue Berries
« on: August 22, 2021, 07:30:46 AM »
Anybody been out for blue berries yet. I wonder how they are with it being so dry up north this year. Was thinking of maybe going for a look today but not sure if it’s worth it.

I haven't been out for blueberries.  I would be pessimistic about the dry year too regarding them.
Wife and I were out for saskatoons a few weeks ago and was actually surprised at that they were not bad, average at least.
We got a couple pails of saskatoons.
If you see the blueberries are okay, please let us know.

Speckle did good for huckleberries out in the west country and had a thread on that.

At my friends farm near St Paul, the saskatoons, choke cherries and wild raspberries were full and plump. They had minimal rain as well.
