I wonder how much the buyback program will pay for a scary military style gun?

Apparently a thousand dollars per gun. That is based upon market value. These are the original estimated numbers.  My question is: Will the Liberal party of Canada spend a quarter of a BILLION dollars for AR platforms and Ruger Ranch type rifles?  Bill C68 has shown that the Liberal Party of Canada will waste BILLIONs for laws that have no effect on stopping crime. Honestly, Do you think that the government will pay one thousand dollars per gun? I doubt it. A back door Order in Council will be coming very soon and that could mean an outright ban with no compensation tomorrow.

With no compensation, and even with it, what will be the amount of compliance? The New Zealand bans have proven to be rather unsuccessful.

And I am just talking about AR and Ruger Ranch Rifle platforms.

What about handguns? They are totally apart of what I have discussed above.

I actually think it’s a smart thing to do to transfer the power to the municipalities. Who cares what happens to the morons in Toronto or Montreal or any big city as  far as I’m concerned, sorry but I could care less. The more independence we gain from Ottawa and the nanny state the better. Cities are shit holes to begin with this just adds to the pile.

Walleyes:

My opinion.

This municipalities handgun transfer could backfire in places like the county of Strathcona. With the large voting base of Sherwood Park and the large number of estate land owners I could easily see a handgun ban coming about. The same applies to the County of Sturgeon right across the river. That makes it even worse.

What do you figure?

Truth be told I can’t see any city in Alberta going for it,, way too many rednecks in this part of the world. In the entire west I could see maybe the lower mainland doing it and that would be it. Even those union minions in Edmonton appreciate their guns and hunting.

I believe this to be true , In the last registry , only 23% of gun owners
west of Hiway 2 registered their firearms .....

England , where guns are tightly monitored, now want to ban knives ,
which are far outdoing guns in the murder dept ...
Also should be a big push in North America outlawing motor vehicles
The absolute number one human death causer , bar none ..
  Voluntary and involuntary manslaughter .
Reinstate the death penalty , the fact that Liberals would never
Eliminate that motor madness, should be cause enough that they
hate you . Trudeau the murder instigator , will be known as the all time
Mass murderer , of his own people by not eliminating automobiles.
       Numbers don't lie .

We already have a pile of folks from other countries in our rural communities.
And they are doing just fine.

Vernon? West Kootenays? Retirement land for Rich Liberals. What the hell is going on? Cheap Slave Labour for the Liberal elite?

Just asking. I do not know anything about those other places.

I am a climate change denier . Just had pretty go round with some
Edmonton Liberals on the subject of water and trout .
There has been a new tax grab study be the Suzukiests on the
subject of mountain runoffs worldwide ....
....after a lot of pushing and shoving .....my final stand was.
    Doesn't snow , no runoff , low water , no trouts , ...
I demanded to be told where the obscene amount of taxes being
grabbed by our little piggy......is being put to remedy this problem ....
In short order , the head flynut , removed all the posts .....
Reminds me of the old days ...... You know 😇

I hear you W101.

Those yokel's can't even remember that big flood in the Bow River flood plain a few years ago.

I noticed from the barnyard that you can only train a chicken brain so much. Too bad for the Kool-Aid drinking suzukites. :)
