I agree, I think the idea is there but no one wants to make the sacrifice. Giving up a days pay, missing the boy's hockey game etc, just to find out there is only 10 of you at the demonstration.  It's the Lib's way, keep the taxes high and the people defied, jolly old England "for God and King" history repeats itself.  I told my co-workers one time that we should all go to payroll and tell them we refuse to pay income taxes, to not take it off our checks. Again everybody like the idea, but no one was in. It only works if you can get a movement going. Not going to happen in Canada. So I guess we wait and hope we can change the tide of the Government, but when I look around, besides the good people of this site, most are ok following the Lib's like sheep.

Trudeau was publicly asked questions today in Calgary after his ministers retreat.

Rick Bell from the Calgary Sun asked him point blank to explain his comment last week to phase out the Alberta Oilsands and the timelines around that.
Rick also framed his question in the context that his comment angered many Albertans.  He asked Trudeau to come clean and fully explain his controversial comment.

The answer from Trudeau was a complete joke.  He twisted around in circles with many pauses and "ahs".
Trudeau finally admitted that he meant what he said about phasing out oil as an energy source in Canada but that was a "few" decades away, but said that was Harper's plan as well.
He made the exception of jet fuel specifically in his answer though.  He then went on to speak about his vacation to the Aga Khan's island and was quite proud of that.
I guess he needs that jet fuel to jet set around the world like he has been doing while pumping climate leadership and condemning the oil industry.   >:(

We have a complete idiot as a Prime Minister, he is nothing but a spoiled unintelligent puppet for the "rainbows and unicorns" party.  The only thing that has going for him is that ugly last name of Trudeau!

Interesting follow up to that Dion Bews punching at the Rebel female reporter at the "Women's (ahem ndp) Rally".

The little shit was charged by EPS today with assault and uttering threats.  Good!

Another rat stinks though in this story and guess what, it is the lefty media yet again.  CTV News Edmonton.
I was a bit shocked when I read their article yesterday that they had interviewed Dion Bews and he claimed "Bews said he had spoken to police, and he was told he won’t be facing charges."
CTV ate this up true or not and published it:
http://edmonton.ctvnews.ca/police-investigating-alleged-assault-of-female-reporter-covering-women-s-march-1.3254025

Well they had to retract that now after the charges were laid and old Ezra challenged CTV to release the tape of their interview with Dion Bews.

Axeman and Walleyes:

You two are coming up with some great stuff.

Keep it coming.

One Point:  I have been looking around for O'Leary's stance on gun ownership. Have not found anything yet.

Thank you gentlemen

I'm sure O'Leary isn't interested in taking anybody's guns away. I'm sure he will go with what ever the party wants, he's more focussed on the business end of things and less interested in the social issues. I'm sure he will let the party decide those issues. But still its important to know.

Yup, Turdo's Canoe Shed comment.  Classic.

I am calling my Liberal MP now and asking for the federal grant to build a shed for my boat.
I am a Canadian too and as everyone knows I enjoy "connecting back out on the land", well actually the water too sometimes.  My white man canoe is taking up too much room in the garage now as it is.

I will let you guys know what Randy Boissonnault's office says.

I like what I read, but to me Brain Jean has been such a class act that if they united it would be hard to decide. Kenney is no new comer to the game and I think he might have the ability to take us maybe where Jean can't? In any case I hope they can make it work and kick the other crap to the curb. Thanks walleyes, you know I read this stuff by my self but never think of posting it up here, glad you and Axeman think of doing it, helps to keep this stuff front and center. Good work guys.

Sunday night mass shooting ,at Quebec Mosque ,
6 dead , several wounded . Two French speaking
Assailants in custody . JT says terrorist attack .

I have been saying for years ,we are at war , the
front just got a lot closer.
As gun owners we have to show total solidarity .
This story is posted on another forum , what a gong
show , to many liberals in Alberta now , ready to
Submit to the east .  Shits in the fan boys .

This is tough news, Muslim or not in this country we have the freedom to practice our beliefs and religions, the same laws that protect and give me the rights to practice my beliefs protect these people. My condolences to the families of these slain people. Murder is murder a terrible day.

My condolences also go's out to the family. The blame and the price to be paid will come back on the people that own guns. It all get streamed down to the lowest fruit and as always free men will pay the cost.

OK .....all initial reports are wrong ......the police
have just charged one man , the French Canadian guy ,
So likely not jihadist , just crazy , with some islamaphobic
   Racist tendencies.
One news source says he,s a fan of Christopher Hitchens
and Richard Dawkins , so likely he hates all religion not just
Islam. Still the gun fallout going to be huge !
As has been said , sad to say the least , be strong !

It's all over the news now, google it and see what the quotes are

White male, right wing who hated women and also liked Trump. The damn Liberals are going to have a hay day with this one. I can't even read the news anymore.

I don't know what's happening in this world anymore but it's not good. There's no middle ground anymore, there's the far left and the far right no moderation. Liberals and Conservatives used to be able to get along, it's not like that any longer. The left have gone so far left on all issues they have left no choice for the right but to go to far right in order to get any compromise. Even in this country Liberals used to be a happy medium, past Liberal leaders were not bad guys really other than Trudeau. Chrétien was not a bad leader, Paul Martin was a smart business man. We could live with them. Even Clinton was not a far left leader nor were either Bushes far right.

I can only see it getting worse as conservatives are lashing back as we have our backs to the wall and have no place to go but straight ahead on issues. It's going to get rough in the next few years and in all honesty I think the only solution is going to be to draw up some new borders. This may include some U.S. states as well. We can't live together any longer, there are two sides with complete appossing ideals I do not see any other answer. In all honesty I can see a civil war in the works. If that's what it takes, so be it I guess. The world was formed from wars, it may take another one to settle issues again.

So question to the gun control people, this was a mentally ill person, so should we focus on mental illness? Answer:  gun bad. How do we stop this from happening in the future? Answer: gun bad. Do we need tougher penalties for scum bags that do this? Answer: gun bad. Do you know law biding gun owners are very sadden by the people that lost their lives in this tragedy, we don't care what religion, or the color of their skin we believe in people lives, rights and freedoms. Answer: Gun bad. Yep hang on, again we are about to take the brunt of all things evil in this world.
