4hrs north of Edmonton to find perch
« on: February 29, 2016, 09:58:54 AM »
I've been doing a lot of perch hunting this winter, this weekend we spent 2 nights on 2 diff lakes and had a blast landing some really good fish 1lb-1 3/4,the latter being the biggest of 2 lakes. It seems that the last 5 yrs it's getting harder to find good perch fishing.A tip for anyone is that you will need a snowmobile to access any northern lakes due to heavier snow and slush.

I hit a dozen lakes this winter in which I had previous luck and the perch were either not there or very small. If I learned anything from this winter is that any decent perch fishing will remain our secret ;D

After the second night we were chilled and made it back to the truck only to find out the battery was dead!Guess that's part of the journey.

I'm afraid if I posted their pics I would be booted from our group.Last time the wife put their pics on FB they flipped out,we all hate it and are not on it so I can't.Especially since there's a young kid in most pics,he loves to pose with the fish :D

No issues.

There are edit tools on photobucket that you can block out faces or scenery if one wants to. I am sure you know but just thought I would mention it.

Congrats on finding some perch, too bad you don't even have any pictures of just the fish.

Am I mistaken or was this not what you said???
These pics are useless without revealing the lake

Cause I'm pretty sure I just read you're keeping your lakes a secret.

Guess you don't follow your own rules haha!
Please keep them secret to yourself and respect when others wish to do the same.  It's an over run fishery out there! Can't make it to easy for the crowds these days.

Is this the norm here? Getting attacked? I cannot post any pics as mentioned, there is a youth involved and the the guys are in law enforcement.I will not post pics and jeopardize  their identity.I will ask them to join and post their own pics if they wish.

I'm not sure why you think you're being attacked.  Just asking if you got pics.  That's not attacking.  That's called making conversation.

I was also pointing out how ironic your two statements are on my previous post and your own... and you replied with yet another more ironic one.  Just incase you didn't notice.

I'm not trying to be difficult but I stated a couple times why I couldn't post pics, felt like I had to put a guard up.

The problem on here is there aren't any rookies , you know how you
Feel about older people . Older people can smell BS from quite a distance .
So Pinehurst - Hairy - Moby there seems to be more of a sense of derision
than credibility in your posts . Doc has a reason to dislike you , as you have
Chased him and harassed him on 3 forums , so your attempt at non culpable innocence
Is very sad . Here's a tip your pentameter is your footprint as is your phrasing .
Just trying to help you out !
