A couple big Jerks!
«

A couple old friends and a couple new friends and a couple big jerks and I was finally out of the hole in the ice I found yesterday.
My daughter and I were going to ice fish Srubel lake with my "coffee bean jigs" and se if the rainbows liked caffeine. But I found a soft spot on the edge of a muskeg point and dropped drivers side wheels in the drink.
With the help of a guy in his semi-monster truck they jerked me out.
Darcy was calm and collected as usual and ate some lunch on the tail gate.

If you look on the left side of the pic you will see some vegetation sticking up out of the snow. It is a "point" of kind of muskeg material. The lake is not deep there at all but does have a soft bottom. The passenger side of the truck is on several inches of ice but it was only a few on the left side and the truck went through there. I ind of new this so I was not worried about us sinking to the bottom in deep water. A few feet out from here the ice was 20 inches thick.
You now how you can get somewhat down when you are stuck and then when you do finally get out you fell so much better? A sense of accomplishment and relief. Well I am still on the "get out of stuck high."

well that is good to hear. Just a reminder for the people who like to drive right along the shore. Sometimes I think you are safer further out since water can be running into the lake and keeping it thin on some shores. Crazy though. I don't like being stuck.

I take Pauls pic as a joke regardless if he ment it that way or not.
Being a dick I would ask if you are running biodegradable fule and oils all around? Or is dumping a pick up truck in a lake ok?

Oh relax it doesn't mean anything it's a joke based loosely on the Shark Tank video "out for a rip" in which Canadians jump in a ford pickup and drive around, that's all. Sorry about your crappy day fishing, wouldn't wish that on anyone, sure glad it hasn't happened to me....yet.

Is it possible you guys do not understand what "WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?" means?
It is a simple enough question asking for clarification of something. There is no "negative emotion" connected to it.
Its just a question.
I have never seen "Shark Tank video" so now Paul has explained "what that means" in a way.
And I explained that we were ice fishing as I rarely if ever "just drive around", I use a vehicle to get me where I'm going.

That thing must have been stuck real good to bend those poles.
Wish I had one of those this winter, could have used it a few times.
