Beautiful First Morning Of Summer
« on: June 21, 2016, 11:19:08 AM »
Woke up at 3 this morning couldn't sleep hooked up to the little boat and hit the water. Was on the water fishing by 5:30 had our walleye supper on the string by 8. Nice morning to be alive man, quiet as could be, only boat on the lake, Loons were going nuts, fantastic way to start the day.

Surf and turf for supper. Prime rib steak on the grill and walleye on the skewer,, can't wait.

Nothing better than being on the water at first light and it's like glass, then throw in a few fish and you just can't help but smile - life is wonderful.

Awesome stuff, just got back from a trip to the north country and man does it spoil a guy.  Going to move up to that lakeland country one of these years just a matter of time.  To much to explore compared to my neck of the woods.

Yes I love the north, it is my home. I tried the south for 4 years and just couldn't do it. It's nice there with lots of nice places but after the thrill of being someplace new wore off there was nothing there for us. It just wasn't the openness of the north. It's getting crowded up here to compared to when I was younger but it's still a far cry from the south. To much private land down there or those that think it's private and treat it as such, I really felt Claustrophobic. I went from putting probably 1000k a year on my quad to once a year use on our hunting trips up north.

I met lots of awesome people down south, saw lots of awesome stuff and learned a pile about our province but in the end it just wasn't home is all.
