Good day:
With the perch and walleye threads going, I thought that I'd take the liberty to start the big trout thread....Lets see your biggest trout and like the subject says all species of trout....I know we have a young fellow on this forum who has caught an enormous trout and I bet some of the members have not seen it...
My biggest rainbow was 10 pounds and I caught it trolling...I had heard stories that they released old brooders from the hatcheries and I caught one.....

Here is a nice one I got at Summerside. The water quality is very good there.
The other photo is the hogs that were caught out at Star Lake in 2009.

They had a blast. My daughter outfished all the boys which was a little funny for me.
When she was 5 she told her teacher that she was fishing and caught all the fish. Apparently she also told them that I could only catch weeds (last time I check her bait for her LOL).

Caught this brown about 15 years ago.It was 13 lbs 4 oz (IGA scale) and 30 inches long.
I can't tell you where I caught it but the name of the lake starts with O and ends with bed...lol.

Here are two big lakers I got back to back while icefishing last winter. The first is a 17, and then 5 minutes later I got a 20.
Also, here is a pic of a nice rainbow trout from Lake Diefenbaker. I caught it on a 1/8 oz jig with a worm while walleye fishing.

Hunt for Pink October
The fish are once again on the move on Dolberg. The morning fishing was a blast. This one I caught about 20 feet from the boat launch. Ultra Lite fishin rulez.
The afternoon was fun catching and releasing this years stocking of dinker trout.
The photo is of the biggest one I caught.

Todays adventure was a short trip to Heritage Lake in Morniville.. I planned to go to Dolberger but the RCMP were reporting very slippery highway 33 off highway 43. This lake has not had a bad winter kill as I thought.
This fish is at least one year old. The fish were moving in 30 feet of water to my surprise. It was very windy and cold but the trout are really aggressive.
