Bull Trout Bonanza

Friday was decision time, do I go for giant size walleye or go catch big bullies in the mountains. It was a tough choice but t the last minute I decided to take the GF and my neighbor to the mountains for Bullies. It was suppose to be a gorgeous day out and the scenery is worth it alone. Highway 1 westbound from Calgary was absolutely ridiculous with cars, I imagine the ski hills were a zoo on Saturday. We arrived just after sunup and found out we had the spot to ourselves. Throughout the day there were a lot of snowshoers and hikers which is nice to see the provincial park being used. We had 2 other guys show up and literally start drilling holes not even 20 feet from where we were fishing, in fact they were probably within 5 feet of one of my holes I drilled. If the GF hadn't been there I may have been a little more vocal with them but instead I just chose to be passive aggressive and talk loudly about how rude and ignorant people were and a few curse words haha. The nice part is they got skunked while we proceeded to pull fish out. I ended up catching 2 that were 4 to 6 pounds, my neighbor got about a 6 pounder and my GF beat us all pulling out a gorgeous 10 to 12 pounder. Normally they hammer the bucktails but we only got one on a bucktail and the other 3 on livetarget lipless cranks. Such a beautiful spot and beautiful fish to, not to mention they fight like a son of a b*tch
