In Sept. there is going to be a "fly fishing event" in Calgary.
It is partly a "fly fishing championship" which I do not see the point of.  How do you measure the joy and relaxation of fly fishing or the thrill and exhilaration of it?  Might as well have a contest to see how much of Grand mother's blue berry pie you can eat until you puke.

But also there will be a "symposium" on rivers and streams and fish habitat issues.  And I certainly do see the point of this.
