Close up Stingray Encounter
« on: December 03, 2013, 11:09:41 PM »
Hey guys, have been working on some of my underwater footage from Mexico this past march and Paul said I should post it on the board.  I think this is one of the neatest stingray shots I've ever got as he actively digs for food and spews sand out his gill openings.  Pretty neat closeup.  This was just freediving with my GoPro Hero HD in the underwater dive housing by Akumal Beach.

This is the rest of the footage from that day.

So if you get cold up there with all the snow just let these videos take you some place warm this winter :)  I'll be joining you all soon in the deep freeze!  Happy Holidays!

No, I actually never received a package of Big Game Bait Buttons.  If you need my address just let me know.  Hope it didn't go to the wrong place or get lost in the mail.

Cool Brandon, just be careful you don't end up like Steve Irwin with those things.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

I'm sure Steve was probably hugging the thing like a crocodile when the ray jabbed him in the chest.  I'm not going to be getting that close, but I get as close as possible to get a good shot.  Inches away if possible makes the best shots.
