Cold Lake Pike Fishing with Swimbaits
« on: October 18, 2013, 10:24:17 PM »
When we were up in Canada we headed out with the family to Cold Lake on their Sport Nautique, not really a fishing boat but it worked.  We were fishing in the large bays of points and reed beds and did really well catching a lot of pike.  Biggest 30 inches.  My dad hooked a big walleye on a swimbait, but he lost it right beside the boat.  Looked like a good one though, at least 6 pounds.  The pike were biting swim baits like crazy. Nothing huge, but tons of action.  Check out our family fun day on the water.  It started raining at the end of the day so we tossed up a tarp.  Haha if you see a boat with a tarp over you will know who it is from now on, haha.  Poor boat got soooo dirty on the way home, yikes.
