Went for a drive this evening back in behind Cadomin and up at the divide there was a sign saying bridge washed out road closed.

So I'm thinking you guys went to Muskiki from the Robb side or was there a way around the wash out?

Hey Speckle:

Because of the forest fires is it true that you can hang your catch from a branch and you will have a smoked trout dinner in ten minutes? ;D ;) :)

Nice healthy fish you have there.

Thanks for the picture.

Robb Road or #40 south then take the Mill road PR at 33 km on Robb/Hinton road or if coming from Cadomin just after bridge with steel n up hill on the right km 99 on PR is Muskiki Lake  or #40 south stay on and take the Cardinal Divide road just before the Brazeau river .. u could come off the Elk River road or Nordegg if in other parts of Alberta ..hope this helps

Hey Sonny:

You are absolutely right about the Cadomin road to Muskiki Lake. Its makes you wonder how they were able to get up the hill to bury people at the cemetery in the old days. That road is a friggin goat trail :o :o :).   The Elk River Road is not much better west of the Elk River Bridge. :)

Cheers.

I made it through there from the Cadomin side in early July.  The road is somewhat washed out, but no big deal for my Jeep.
Two sections in there could give a long wheelbase some trouble.  One sharp dip washout and one section is bad along the river itself.
I think I see a rip in the social fabric, Brother can you spare some ammo?

While we are on the subject of Muskiki, has anyone ventured into Ruby Lake lately?

And has anyone given the Cardinal a good fish in the canyon?
