the time to fish a species can vary

Oncorhynchus clarkii

Cutthroat trout in the foothill's

berry's are still behind in spots

with the hail putting a lot on ground

it's always a adventure

Hi David:

Did the stomach contents reveal stick or gravel caddis with a nice juicy white or pale green larvae?

Anyways, It is fall monster caddis hatch time north of town..where you live. Right up to Grande Cache and north into the Smokey.

After the first frost and a couple of September snow storms it is Clouser minnow time with strip and cast.

David:
I recall over the years you like to experiment with non traditional ideas in fly fishing.

Do you use a lead core in certain lakes?

If you do use lead core, does it work?

Maligne is popular for the method.
