Thanks for the picture's, and report. As always nice to see you getting the kids out there. My oldest just got married last week and in here speech she talked about all the memories at the lakes fishing with the family. It really does bring a life time of happiness to our kids.

Thanks all, I feel pretty lucky that the family enjoys to camp and fish.  Kids really seem to enjoy themselves.  The wife is usually pretty content to chuck a jig over the side and she does pretty good however she started to throw some pike stuff around the weed beds and tied into a nice big girl that got lost at the boat and talk about a woman possessed after that lol.  I don't think she picked up a jigging rod for the rest of the trip and none of us can wait to head back.

The boat does get pretty busy with four people in a 14' but with the kids being smaller it should be ok for a year or two.  It's a fairly deep wide unit v hull compared to a car topper and one upgrade I'd like to make is a little more power on the transom as the 15hp is just not quite enough when the wind picks up a bit and four of us are in the boat, I tried a new prop and a little less pitch but still has a tough time getting on plane unless the conditions are really good.  It will take a 25hp so hoping to go that route and shrink the lakes just a little as well.  Will be tough to part with that old evinrude though, it's really served our family well.

A bit of a belated update to the fishin log.  Some personal bests for us.  All in all what a blast of a year, lots of Walleye caught at a few different lakes.  If someone wants to catch sheer numbers with some good ones mixed in give Gull a try.  We literally had quadruple headers on at points.
In a best case scenario I arrow an elk this weekend and we spend the rest of the fall ground punting grouse with a walleye trip, and most importantly a sheep hunt mixed in there somewhere.

Awesome stuff bud, live those big humpy eyes, real hogs on the rod those buggers. I hope all works out for you this fall and you fill your tags.

I never made it out to Siebert this time off but maybe just maybe I will if the weather holds up after I get back from moose hunting in Oct, we will see.

Thanks guys, as far as Walleye tags go we filled two out of six in no time and could have filled the rest within an hour or so but decided to chuck the rest back in hopes we'd make another open water trip or fill the rest throughout the winter as we spend a lot of time there ice fishing.

The last two pics are from Gull and as much as we've fished there during the winter this was our first summer trip.

Funny thing about that day is we noticed Wes David from "Fishing the Wild West" tv show had his truck and trailer parked in the parking area.  It's a fair size lake so didn't expect to see him out there but as we neared a spot we consistently fish in the winter with little to no pressure, sure as shit he was the only other boat in the area and right on top of where I had hoped to fish.  I was thinking "get out of my damn spot Wes" lol.  We fished the perimeter area from the "spot on the spot" and did ok but once they moved on we jumped in ha.  Looking at his facebook page afterward it looked like they had a pretty good day.  Can't wait to get back, one of the better pike spots I've found for nice healthy pike in the winter as well.
