Fishhunter 3d review
« on: July 08, 2016, 08:57:53 PM »
Guys wondering about the relatively new FishHunter 3d directional before you buy one.  This is my little review on using it this winter.  I didn't use the 3d stuff as I think that is mostly valuable in open water.  I was on ice mode with flasher style screen.  Was impressed with the WiFi speed nearly real time.  Only downside I felt was smallest depth range was 20 meters and I usually fish shallow.   Check it out before you buy one of these portable castle devices.  Pretty powerful little unit though.  My phone usually would go dead before it in the cold.

I know you reviewed the Deeper unit Brandon which I sell on my online ice fishing store. How does it stack up against the Deeper unit and what's price point?

So the deeper has a more adjustable depth range on the flasher which I like. The Fishhunter is more like a real flasher unit though.  It is more real time.  That is the one think I don't like about the deeper its a little slow.  I'm not sure how much they are.  They sent me this one to try before they were even selling them.  I was also sent the Deeper to try so I can't say I know how much either of them is now.  They both have their plus and minus.  For some reason I took my Deeper to the USA where I didn't have cell service on my phone and it would not work.  Just would not connect to the phone.  I could see it as a device on my phone but would not work.  Really frustrating when you drive ten hours to catch perch and your sonar wont work.  The fishhunter worked when I didnt have cell service.

So thats my comparison ideas for what I've used them for at least.
