Ive been fishing a local lake at a spot I sort of stumbled on a few weeks ago, and been having some ok days and some great days. Last weekend the Saturday I was fishing by myself, about 8 inches of ice and jigging holes between 8 and 17 feet of water, as well as fishing in the tent to warm up. managed 8 smallish pike, and 17 walleye, up to 5 and a half on my scale, then found out the battery was pretty much toast so it was weighing light. Awesome day, start of the full moon, no wind, and a ton of fish. Went back the Sunday with a few friends, maybe 15 or so fish caught between everyone, only 2 of them mine. Got back out there this last Saturday, I ended up with 7 smaller pike again, and a couple nice eyes. Too blizzardy to fish Yesterday, unfortunately. Should be great fishing next Saturday, highs in the minus 20s all week so the ice should be building nicely, finally.
