Forum Member Lands Big Black Marlin

Hey guys, this is cool.  My hunting buddy and fellow forum member Jesse (Dieselhunter) landed a big black marlin in the Indian Ocean off the African coast last week.  It put up a hell of a fight which he has on video too.  He said the old scale they had said 108 kg but who knows what it actually was.  Jesse and Jen landed a couple of sailfish as well.  Not bad for being seasick (forgot the gravol).  Not a bad honeymoon!

nice fish... how long did it take him to pull it in? i bet it was a hell of a fight!!!! them things can jump 20 feet out of the water when they want too

WOW! He had a great day out.  Catching big game fish is a fun deal.  It takes a lot of patience though.  I have had a few fun trips .  My biggest sailfish was 8' 2"

Thanks for all the congrats everyone! It was the most amazing experience! I was so sea sick, but forgot all about that for the 45 mins it took to get it in! We were very lucky, as we were only out for a 4 hour trip, and came back with a Dorado, two sailfish(that my wife and I had on at the same time!), and the Black Marlin! The boat owner said that it was the biggest marlin they had seen in years! I am definetly hooked!
