so ive been fishing at a spot in st. albert called lacombe park a small trout pond with the basic stock sized trout and billion crayfish!!!! its insane tye a peice of hot dog on a string and throw it anywhere along the bank of this little pond u will catch on in seconds and thats a promise. i was out there today and every dip of a hotdog was a diffrent crayfish small but still have them pincers so be careful. and on a side note get this the second species of fish in that lake is nothing else but... goldfish not koi but goldfish!!!! big ones up to 2-3 pounds apparently. a friend of mine has caught them already and apparently hearing from some locals they have 3 goldfish in the pond they say is 5 pounds all diffrent colors. i havent seen them yet but i defiantly want to catch some. the story behind the goldfish in there is a pet store in st albert that went out of business instead of throwing out all their fish dumped them in the pond. of coarse all the fish that werent used to the climate died and the goldfish survived!! their fat too! huge from what i understand. defiantly something to look into if anyone wants a challange
