 Any thoughts given to a SPORTSMAN   Meet for the outlaws LOL.

 Red Deer area , that way south and north could get together ....for the day

Would definitely try to make it out if possible.  Probably the easiest and most accessible lake would be Gull, but I'd be open to other suggestions...

im in ..... hey hey.... there you go paul... a great idea for the giveaways you were talking about... a guy could do draws on the ice or even a bit of a derby or something... heck id even throw in a $20 bill for the cause

 I do believe Gull Is open till the end of March....but is this going to be a thick ice year
 doesnt look like it ....so  Feb...@5..Sat or Mar..3  or 10.... In about   there...

 I have never been there so easiest access is  ???

If were going to do it at Gull, I would suggest doing it around the end of Feb/beginning of March for the ling spawn over at Wilsons beach.  Unless we get a ton of snow between then and now access will be good, and we should be able to get into a bunch of burbs and whites, with a few nice pike thrown into the mix...
