Lake Wabamun
« on: August 31, 2017, 04:07:58 PM »
Went to Wab for a couple of days and our trip started out with a bang..Dagnabbit blew a tire on the motorhome, >:(

Oh well $241 for a new tire and we're good to go.

Got there late in the day so didn't fish until the next morning.Fished mostly off the Fallis point with the west side being a little better than the east side of the point.Fishing was really slow with only a few pike and a bunch of small walleye (smalleye). Our digital scale quit working but I'm guessing the biggest pike was only about six pounds.
The smalleye were really small but damn did they ever smack our rapalas hard.I'm thinking the little buggers are starved.

Anyway we didn't fish very hard. Our little 14.5 foot boat doesn't have that much room to move around and wifey and I both get cramped and sore after a few hours..We need a big 20 footer like walleyes.. lol ;D

Oh yeah this was the first time we went under the trestle while there was a train going by.. :o
