weeman and other anglers

there are two record keepers in North America ..IGFA and FWFH

IGFA is in Florida and keeps records for Salt water and Fresh water but only caught on a rod and reel or fly rod

FWFH keeps records for freshwater only but can be caught Rod and reel or fly rod or ice fishing or pole and line .. they have a C&R division too

each has line class records too meaning 2# line up too the limit for each fish some go to 20# line classes  others are higher to 30 # for each species

The Mountain Whitefish in IGFA is 5#8 all tackle and 12# Rod and Reel then they have all the line classes WR's and Fly Rod
The Mountain Whitefish in FWFH is 5#14 all tackle and 8# Fly Rod then they have all the line classes and Rod and Reel

Lake Whitefish in IGFA is 14#6 all tackle and Rod and Reel and Fly Rod is 7#10
Lake Whitefish in FWFH is 15#6 all tackle and Rod and Reel and Fly Rod is 4#6

Food for Thought
David :)
