 Males are getting locked n loaded

Male Brook Trout are getting locked and loaded with color

the fall is coming and with it the Brook Trout males are spiffing up

Fall is upon us already.

Also, those huge stone cased caddis should be hatching now in the flowing water.  Big juicy black wooly bugger patterns  from size 8 down to size 2.  Brooks method of casting. Deep and dirty with lots of weight in the fly.   :)

Use your Type 7  or Type 8  sinking line.  All weight in the fly. Strikes can be missed with weight on the leader. Remember, you are fishing deep, and in fast water. And about a six foot leader maximum.

Nice fish Sonny, I swear one of these years I'll tag out early enough to chase the brookies in prime time,  neat to see them starting to put some colour in already.
