Environment Canada says the wind is going to be 50 gusting to 70, so I think our usual spot might be a bust.  I talked to suckermaster yesterday and he wants to go out to his buddy's pit in the afternoon.  Apparently it's on the side of the river that's (hopefully) not getting blown away.
Just puttin' it out there...

Mr. Axeman rules tonight with wallys he was catching. Nice fish there Axeman. I think the wallys are finally starting to move. Thanks for the mosquito repellent. I caught my fare share of those hungry little blood suckers.

They were biting on a black rubber tailed jig tipped with a leech tonite.  Don't forget your mosquito spray; the walleyes were not they only things biting.
Paul, you posted the same pic twice of one of my walleyes.  Landed three tonite.

nice pics Ax. miss fishing that river. not to be rude at all, just a tip that works. if you're catching on black rubber tails don't burn your hard earned cash on leeches. a naked black double curly tail should work just fine for you.

Tried that Dace.  Wasn't getting hits until I put the leech on though.  Mind you I was still fishing the jig though.  It might have worked with a bare jig if I could bump the jig along the bottom but too many snags in that spot for it.  Besides that, Paul bought the leeches....lol.  ;D

Sounds like an opportunity to try those Gulp Alive! leeches that I've had sitting in their tub of stank juice in the Jeep for about a year now!

Hey guys! Ive been having good luck for walleye and pike this weekend. Goldbar has the walleye and whitemud creek is producing pike. Hauled in a 32-34 inch one yesterday. Anyone know roughly what that would weigh? I thought it was about 4-6 pounds, but I read a 44" one is 25 pounds. So I don't know. It was a nice fish. To bad I can't upload the picture from my iPhone. Good luck out there. Tight lines!

Zack go create yourself a Photobucket account or Email me the picture at bbjtackleandfishingadventures@hotmail.com and Ill post it for you .  As for the fish weight did you measure its girth . For pike length x Length x Length Divided by 3500 , or The Girth x Girth divided by 800 , for Walleye Length x Length x Length Divided by 2700 . Hope that helps ya out .

I didn't get a measurement of it's girth or length unfortunately. Right after I snapped a picture of him, he thrashed around some more and got off. I look at my tape measure right after and figured he had to be atleast 28" but looked more like 32". All in all still the best fight I've had fishing the NSR.

Lets revive this old thread with some 2012 NSR fish.  I was out with Paul (Weeman) for a few hours west of the city on the NSR this last weekend and we did pretty well for some walleyes and goldeyes.  One of my old spots.
