Picked up a small used 12' and a new electric' for a couple of the small lakes around here got it all rigged up and have been out a few times. The bite has been good on leeches and chironomids but the leech has worked best. Pumped a few trout over the past couple of weeks and only seeing a few water boatman, and chironomids, but today must have been chironomids hatching everywhere. Pumped a trout today and it had silver, brown, black and olive chironomids in him and a few water boatman but the balanced leech still worked the best. It was a beauty day today, warm and very little wind and caught a nice one just before heading home. Might try a different lake tomorrow, got my PB rainbow out of here years ago and that was before they had triploids in there.
