Patience young Grasshopper

fishing is some times a waiting game(William A Switzer Provincial Park)

the Lake Whitefish will be looking for food so be ready

after a hour n half of waiting

finally a White n it attacks the hook

thanks for the tip said the young guy

Darn nice looking fish there Speckle.

It is that time of the year.

Small add on here.  Do the local folks still head down to the AthaB for the RMW around this time of year?

When I worked in Jasper I remember the school kids running down to the river with fishing rods in the spring. Mind you, I think maggots were still legal then.

yes some do still

I have fish the Athabasca 12 months

buddy got a 21" RMW years ago in April

these are up too 3#1/2

locals are still catching Bull Trout too

they are posting under the bridge too

I miss that so much walking the river
