« on: March 14, 2020, 04:41:35 PM »
Any body been out perching. Heading out tmrw now that the oil patch has gone to heck. Heading to ghost or island by athabasca. Just wondering if any body has been out lately and any success.
Cheers and tight lines

Haven’t heard of any hot spots myself, I’ve pretty much given up fishing in Alberta though. It will stay that way until we see some major changes, well other than playing with Lakers on the big lake I guess.

Ya it was a decent day. Couldn’t believe some of the biggest perch caught where males. I am going to go hard after this week. Prob fish every day with the kids. Going to get into some real hunny holes. More updates to come.

My 4yr old son doesn’t have patients for perching, prefers wally’s and slew sharks in his own words. But he managed doozy the other day. Had a awesome day with 27 brought home between 11.5-14” most being 12.5-13”.
Great day with my kids on the ice. Big perch fry tonight.
(He’s wearing my gloves as he didn’t want to get his slimy)
