This is how I caught my personal best huge Northern Pike. I've fished this lake many times and had my previous personal best from it, but not even close to this one. Sometimes you fish all day and only catch one fish... well this is one of those days you're happy you were out on the water to the very end to pull in an incredible fish. Finally broke 40 inches after so many years on the ice with the 42" pike that I'm pretty sure was over 20 pounds, but didn't bother putting her on a scale... actually we don't even carry a scale. Released her for another day.
