Going to be camping 8-10 weeks. What is the possibility of me catching one fish from the bank or maybe use a canoe on any day i fish. Not a great fisherman but know the basics. What gear should i bring and are there
some easy spots for someone new to area. Staying Waterton Townsite, Elkwood, Two Jack Lakeside, Wapiti,
few stops on the parkway

Yes, you will need a national parks fishing license, but it is valid for all the parks so it's pretty good value. No barbs and no bait allowed.

If you want to spend a few hours fishing off the bank at Two Jack, use Len Thompson spoons, size 0 or 00, I prefer yellow/red (5 diamonds) or red/white. You have maybe a 50% chance of catching something. You have to go to more remote lakes in the park for decent fishing.

Mostly lake and rainbow trout. Might be some whitefish in there but I've never caught one.
