Siebert lake?
« on: July 10, 2016, 11:49:36 AM »
I have never been and am thinking of checking it out next weekend wondering if anyone has been there this year?
A quick Google reveals conflicting reports about the road and boat launch conditions but non are very recent so recent first hand info would be appreciated if possible.
Thanks guys

I haven't been in this year hammer but I can't see it being that bad but we have had a fare amount of rain in the area. It would depend on what you are taking in there. If it's a smaller trailer or smaller boat I can't see it being that bad. The road can get wet not muddy but wet, the trail in there is pretty much all sand so mud is not an issue but some of the holes can get deep with water. As far as the boat launch goes it's decent, sometimes you may have to dip it in a ways but it's a good launch. I have launched my 20' deep v there numerous times with no issues. I wouldn't be scared to head in there.

Yah mid week would be your best bet it can get busy in there. The lake never gets busy as its a big lake but the camp ground is not the biggest so it can fill up at times. Very few if any of the noise maker boats in there though generally speaking the people that head in there are in there to fish so it's generally a good crowd.

It is a beautiful place hammer well worth the visit a real gem. Absolutely stunning beaches long shallow beaches with not a soul on them it's really is a nice place.

Take a good assortment of deep diving Rapalas in with you and get your troll on. Both the big eyes and big northerns will take them,, have fun.

Take your camera we want pics..
