Spring Rainbow Trout Videos
« on: April 27, 2013, 03:41:25 PM »
Here are a few videos I've taken in the last week to months, maybe you'd like to try some of these tips now that the thaw is on in Alberta.

One that I learned down here for the potholes for stocked rainbows if you want to fish powerbait is using a sliding egg sinker, check out the video for tips on rigging powerbait, slipbobbers, jigs and some underwater fish shots.

Sweet You Yak Fish Too!!!  I love fishing on the Kayaks, especially out on the coast.

Sorry this is not Alberta related at all but if you like fishing you'll probably enjoy it.
Here is my best fish Kayak Fishing, Yellow Tail near San Diego. Fish starts taking bait around 30 seconds:

My favorite place to Kayak Fish is the Wild Central Coast of California for Lingcod, Rockfish and Cabezon, this is my most viewed one:

But I like this one the best with biggest ling I've hooked probably 12-15 pounds lost beside the boat can be seen at 3:30, this video shows the 5-8 foot swells I fish on out there sometime... but hard to tell with GoPro fish eye lens:

This one is similar but shows some Kayak Surfing at 3:15... best part about ocean kayak fishing!

Rainbows are pretty and fun to catch but drift fishing for ground fish is heaps of fun and provides some of the best eating fish.
Thanks for the videos guys.

That is a nice Setup, looks like you even have a GoPro mount ready to capture the action.

Mine keeps going through modification adding more things as I go:
I think this was the Maiden Voyage on Perris Lake.

Added some rod holders for trolling, this lake Sabrina has amazing views"

Out on the ocean accessorized with my Wife:

Now with the baby built a motor mount and got a trolling motor to make it a little easier out with the family.  First time out was last weekend.  I have some video on the water I'll have to put together.

I love this fishing platform:
