What's better than having a boat?
« on: May 26, 2018, 09:08:13 PM »
Having two boats.  ;D

Picked up a 12 foot tinner just so I can get on the small electric motor only lakes. Also have a 40lbs MinnKota motor.

Tried it out on Miller lake today and it worked great.Boat has a small leak in the bow area but I can cure that with some J B Weld. ;) Oh yeah we caught two and lost two but it was fun.

I'm gonna have to hit Maligne like speckle but don't expect great pics from me...lol  ;D

Nice boat. Nice and wide.

Have you thought of heading west on 16 , turning south at Valemout, and taking Highway 5 to Little Fort?

Stop at the Little Fort flyshop, talk to the really cool owners, and off you go up and over on Highway 24.

After Maligne of course. :)   Www.Littlefort.com. Not opern all year. Just hitting the public in prime time , which is now.

Cheers. :)

Drove thru Little Fort many times.Love the smell of the forests there but never thought about fishing in the area.I have thought about putting the boat in Moose lake west of Jasper.I heard there's some good lake trout in that lake.
I have to tell you something tho.Retirement is a lot of work. :(

New dirt in the flower beds.
New shed primed and painted.
New fence and gate...yeah that has to be primed and painted also.

But once I'm caught up with my chores...YeeHaw fishing time. ;D

Decent that should treat you well.  Nothing more versatile for fishing than an aluminum tiller boat imho.  Seems to be all sorts of new smaller boats on the market these days between kayaks, pontoons etc. but nothing has come along to beat a basic aluminum boat.
