Most of you know that I like guns but what in the hell would you use this for? :o

Total waste of money unless you plan on popping ballons at 10 yards.  ;D

Pigeons and other flying rats in barns. Also for collecting small wildlife for study skins and disease specimens. A rifled gun with a .22 #12 shotshell load does not work all that well. Neither does a #12 .410 shotshell. Government employees working under a collecting licence use these kind of guns.

I understand that Tilsenburg has a lot of tobacco drying racks on their farms. The guns might be used to get rid of vermin without damage to a structure and agricultural products. And you can claim the guns and ammo on your tax return.

Not much tobacco being grown in the Tillsonburg area these days. I should know as I grew up on a farm less than 20 miles from Tillsonburg and still go back to visit family. The tobacco decline started back in the 80's and a lot of the tobacco kilns (barns) have been torn down.
Now they grow some weird crops such as hops for beer making or ginger root.
You won't find any birds or vermin in a tobacco kiln as there is nothing for them to eat there. If you want to shoot birds or rats you have to go to a cow/pig/hay barn where the feed is for them.
We did just fine with pellet guns when we were kids and there is no way a .22 shotshell will reach out to the top of a barn and kill a pigeon.
The add says a farmer should keep one of these on a tractor with them. Yeah I'm sure these would work well on a fox or a coyote. lol
Anyways I think these lever .22 smoothbores are just a fad and will fade away in the near future.  ;)

Thanks for Tillsonburg info Sonny.

I have heard that working in those tobacco fields was pretty rough on person, but a job is a job when you need one. :(

Obviously some kind of "novelty gun".

Thanks again.
